Day 46
My step mother had to work. So we had plans to meet up with her later. My sister has never been an early riser. So, seeing her was not going to happen. She had to work in the evening.
Jacob and I entertained ourselves once again. We have the best times together as it is. We decided to go to Carolina Beach Boardwalk.
We had the boys with us and were already on the boardwalk. When we saw the sign “No pets allowed!”. I tried to explain these are not pets! They are my babies. But, no one would listen. The beach was on the other side of the boardwalk. But, we were not sure if we were allowed to have the dogs on there either. So, we walked them in another area for an awhile.
After a bit, we put the boys in the camper. They had windows cracked, water available and a fan on. It was a cool and breezy day. They actually will just sleep.
We went for a walk on the beach. Mainly just to say we were on Carolina Beach. Then got some gelato and swung on a big porch swing. I know, I know how romantic.
Our plans later were for my step mom Dawn to take us to Ashleys job for dinner. Ashley works for a place called ‘The Harp: Authentic Irish Fine Food and Drinks”. We stayed there for while visiting over and after dinner.
I invited them (Dawn and Ashley) back over to our Airbnb. But, Dawn had to work the next day. Ashley wanted to be with her friends.
We were supposed to leave tomorrow (Friday). But, I had not seen my step mother in 15yrs nor my sister in 4yrs. I felt like I wanted more time with them. I could not reserve the Airbnb for the weekend. I should have taken it as an emotional sign. But, we got a hotel room for 2 days at Home 2 Suites.
The Airbnb was unusual. We never stayed in one where you entered the place through the bathroom. They were making the house into 2 Airbnbs. They have the front porch off limits. Tomorrow, we will move to the hotel.
