Part 8
Many who have followed our travels or read my blog know that we usually tote a small trailer behind TJ Shack.

This little trailer was equipped with all our outdoor gear, vehicle parts and many miscellanous things needed or wanted. Plus, we use the wheel-well on the other side to cook on with our outdoor stove. It is a great little trailer for TJ. But, with the Big Shack it will not be necessary. The Big Shack was built with 2 doors on each side of it making a great pass through area.

Therefore, those doors with be used in our garage area. This space will store most of the outdoor items we may want or need with us in the Big Shack. But, we had to come up with a way to separate it from the rest of the Big Shack. So, Jacob constructed a wall and I primed and painted it.

Jacob, then add some lights. I personally think he is making me a traveling craftroom. I mean look at all this space. I can sit up in it perfectly and have plenty of space to store my beads and make my jewelry. Or whatever other crafts I come up with. I mean, he can store “his stuff” in the bed of the truck. RIGHT!!!??? Ha,ha!
Next, it was time to make the under bed closet for all MY CLOTHES. Come to think about it the “garage space” is a great closet for me too! Just kidding! We like the design in TJ for our clothes. But, I requested it be a little deeper. We marked where all the boards would go. Then, took them off and I filled in all the stapled areas with wood filler. Later, sanding it to make it all pretty and smooth!

While, the wood filler was drying, I painted the inside of my craftroom…or some might say the “garage space”. Jacob was working on the brackets to hold the outside part of the mini-split AC.

Finally, it was time to assemble with under bed closet and nail it in place.

But, not without a little finger injury and chipped nail polish. Oh well, I think we will both be just fine. But, splinters hurt!!
