Day 38

There is not much to discuss about the next day. We were steady driving along Interstate 40.

We did have a little bit of rain. Just enough, to spot up TJ and make him look dirtier than he already did.

After several hours, we decided to stretch our legs. So, we pulled over at Cabelas/ Bass Pro in Garner, NC. I assume they have combined their stores. The boys were ready for a potty break as well.

The boys rode in a basket as Jacob and I wondered the store. They did great. Dean was actually enjoying it. I did show them the taxidermies of all the various animals there. Neither of them were interested in them.

It was absolutely a coincidental that Longhorn Steak house was across the parking lot of Bass Pro. So, once again we treated ourselves. The food was not as great as the previous time we had it. The hostess suffered from RBF (if you know what that is). But, the service was good from our waitress.

Many times when people go out to eat, they are rude to the waitress/waiter. Yes, she/he is serving “you” BUT, it does not give anyone the right to treat her/him rudely. Waiting tables is not really not an easy job. Waitress are yelled at, treated rudely and left without tips. They are on their feet constantly, carrying trays of food and praying not to drop them. I do know not all servers are good. I’ve had bad service by them. But, I try to give grace. We never know what they are going through.

After eating and having full stomachs, we decided to just pop The Shack up. We free camped at Bass Pro. Tomorrow, TJ Shack gets on a ferry for the first time.

Can you see me?
