Day 48

Last night, before leaving my step mother’s apartment we made plans. We were going to met up at 12:30pm at a German Cafe for lunch.

Jacob and I got there early. It was Saturday and downtown tends to be busier than usual. We were surprised we got a park as easy as we did.

When Jacob and I were in this area a few days ago we spots a German restaurant. We had been have it on our mind to eat there. So, having lunch with my step mom was perfect opportunity.

We walked around for a while until it was time for our reservations. We got there and got seated as we waited for my step mom. She has always be notoriously late all my life. This time was no different, ha, ha! The food was ok. We’ve ordered the same meal before at a restaurant in Fredericksburg, TX. I don’t know if we were partial or this was just not very tasty. But, nevertheless we enjoyed it.

We informed my step mom that we planned on leaving early in the morning. She had planned on cooking us breakfast. But, 10;30 am was going to be too late. So, we thought it would be a good idea to have breakfast for dinner. We all departed ways until then.

It was about 7pm and we went to her house. For us that is too late to eat a big meal. But, that was the time we agreed upon. We got to her house and started visiting. I am thinking “Ok anytime now she will start cooking!”. It was 9:30pm and she said “well let me warm up the oven!”. I told her not to worry about it. That it was too late for Jacob and I to eat. I was actually bummed. It was a childhood meal, I was looking forward to. But, it would have been midnight before it was ready at this pace.
