Day 36
As previous mention in a blog…my father graciously gave Jacob his 1975 Honda 360T motorcycle. Jacob already worked all day cleaning the carburetor. I will remind you of the before and after. I am amazed how clean it got after sitting for 20+ years.
But, cleaning the carburetor is not all the work that needs to be done. Jacob has ordered other parts. He wants to get this thing running once again. I believe, he will accomplish the goal. I honestly want to see this happen as well. At the moment it looks like a stripped hunk of junk with great potential! Not to mention, it does match TJ Shack.
It was early afternoon, Jacob decided to go clean up the motorcycle more. He had ordered a little automotive steam cleaner. It will help clean out the 20+ years of grime embedded into the small areas.
While he worked on it. My father brought out his Honda trike. He was going to display it at a local church car show. So, he too wanted to clean up the trike. Afterwards, we went for a ride on it.
Later, that evening Jacob and I packed up the camper with all our scattered belongings. We decided to leave my father’s house for a bit. Since, we had to wait for motorcycle parts to be shipped. It was estimated that it would take a week or so.
Jacob watched a YouTube video by a couple called, “One AdVANture At a Time.” They travel all over the U.S in their Promaster Van. One place was Ocracoke Island in North Carolina. The only way to arrive there is by ferry. So tomorrow, we leave!
