Day 34
It is another Sunday! Last night we anticipated some heavy storms. But, it was not as bad as predicted. Well let me say for us. I know there were tornados and other weather issues elsewhere. We just got some rain and wind. I pray for those the storm impacted worse.
Jacob and I woke up pretty early. Jacob did wake up before me. I found him sitting in the den researching and reading stuff about the motorcycle. I woke up not feeling to great. I was nauseated for some reason. But, I sat down in the den with him. We enjoyed our morning quiet time. As, I did my morning bible reading and sipped on coffee.
If you can see, I do not have my knee (left knee) brace on. I’ve had it off for about a week now. My father’s house has stairs in it and I have gone up and down them several times a day. My knee feels good and strengthened. So, Jacob and I made to cautious choice to remove the brace. I wanted my knee to strengthen without relying on the brace. I am still going to let my primary care provider know about it when I return home. I love how Jaxon rested his head on my leg carefully. He is so sweet.
After a while, my father got up. He was going to cook us breakfast. But, since I was nauseous. I told him not to worry about it. Neither of us, Jacob nor I felt like eating. A bit later it was time for church. Though, I was not feeling great. I still planned on attending. Jacob stayed behind. After a bit my nausea went away. Thank goodness. But, I knew lunch was coming. Ha ha.
My father and Paulette usually go out for lunch on Sundays after church. Our plans were to go to Texas Roadhouse. But, through the discussion of directions Paulette led us to Longhorn Steak House. It was kind of funny for Jacob and I. I have never ate there before. But, on our many travels we would always pass one. Of course, there was some destination we need to get to so we never stopped. Jacob would say “we need to go eat there. It is so good!”. Well now, we finally did it. I normally will order chicken or salmon when I go to a restaurant. But, not at a steak house. Oh my the steak was so good!!!!
Needless to say, we will be making it a point to stop again! No more just passing by…unless they are closed. The rest of the evening we just hung out at home. My father left for evening church service. Upon returning he had my nephew with him for an overnight stay.
It was a good day. The weather had a cool breeze but it was a beautiful sunny day. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoyed it.
