Day 16 and 17 all together
Wow, the last couple of days have been interestingly busy and full of suprises! So, I will try to make it short but sweet and combine day 16 and 17 together.
Day 16 start out early (6am) with a brief visit from my friend Tracey. She was going to work and we were checking out of the Airbnb. We had many hours of driving ahead of us. So, after hugs. We all said our “see you laters”!

We opted not to eat breakfast. We gassed TJ up and with some gas station coffee and cappuccino, we are on the road.

We took more back roads to get here destination LaFayette, GA. The roads were full of beautiful pastures and small towns. We could have taken the interstate. But, we wanted better scenery than 18 wheelers and big city traffic.
We stopped in LaGrange, GA for lunch. Jacob told me to find somewhere to go. He should know, I will look for somewhere unique. We did not want the typical chain restaurant. I found a place called Taste of Lemon Restaurant. The neat thing about it is, it’s in an old church. It was formerly a Methodist Church in 1889 with several name changes throughout the years. After becoming vacant for several years the building was moved and a restaurant was opened. The food was so good. Some of that true southern country cooking.

After eating and taking a short walk, it was time to go again. We only had a few more hours to get to my dad’s.
We arrived around 4 pm at my dad’s. As we pulled in I called him and carried on a “normal” conversation. “Hey dad, what you doing…???” He was just sitting around watching tv. So, I knocked on the door. His dog was going crazy barking. I said “Dad, what is Simon barking so much for?” I told him several times to go and check on him. My dad made several excuses of why he was barking. FINALLY, I said “ dad, I am going to hang up so you can check to make sure Simon is ok” My dad then said ‘he is barking at the front door.” I said “ok well go see and I will talking to you later” and we hung up. I thought he would never check!
After all the initial excitement was over we settled in some. My dad had a meeting to attend. While he was gone, I cooked dinner. Afterwards, we just sat around for a bit. But, Jacob and I were exhausted so to bed we went. Continue reading for Day 17.

Day 17
Today, started off with one of those “Where are we moments?” We had been from The Shack (camper) to hotel, back to The Shack to the Airbnb. Now we are at my dad’s. We (my dad and I) had a like father like daughter moment Yikes, Oh goodness, Watch out!!! We both did some bible reading.

Jacob made us all some breakfast. Then afterwards my dad and I went to my little brother’s (Brian) house. Jacob had to do some work. So, it gave him some quiet time. My brother did not know I was here. It was another surprise to him and nephew ‘Morgan’. I was entertained by my nephew with video games (I knew nothing about). He also played with his turtle flute.

It’s been a long couple of days. We are worn out. I hope you all hung in there with me through this blog! If so, Thank you!
Oh and let me mention the weather has been beautiful the last 2 days. The sun is shining and it’s warm. This is the weather we have been waiting for!!! Finally, we have it.
