Day 4

Well the was not much to blog about at the beginning of day 4. We left the Livingston State Park. The park was very beautiful. But, it had rain the whole time we were there. Go figure, the day we leave the sun comes out.

We stopped to have breakfast at a local Mexican restaurant. Then headed to Lafayette, LA. Jacob had it in mind to stay at the Cracker Barrel. Many times people traveling will stay there over night. Well, what started out as an ok, evening turned into a bad one.

We were enjoying some coffee, chocolate cake and beignet’s. When suddenly, it sounded like 20 generators were all around us. There was a van parked right behind us. It was 9pm when, they decided to pressure wash the concrete by all the RVs staying there and us. The guys washing the concrete looked like minions with their flashlights on the heads.

Plug your ears!!!!

Eventually, they were done and it was relatively quiet besides traffic going down the street. We fell asleep. But, then the night crew for the construction area comes to work. While, Jacob and the dogs slept. I could hear metal being dropped, the concrete truck moving and beeping as it backed up and heavy equipment sounds. I could not sleep. It was very frustrating! I was awake from around 11:30pm- around 4am. Eventually, they too were done. I dozed off for couple hrs. We planned to go eat at Cracker Barrel. But, needless to say, I was ready to get out of the parking lot. So, we left.
