Day 2

This morning greeted us a with a nice warm cup of coffee. It was 36 degrees out. We needed something to warm us up.

We got our belong gathered in the hotel and checked out. Across, the street is a local juice and smoothie shop. I had my mind set on getting a smoothie. But, once entering the place and the lady saying she makes fresh orange juice. My mind was quickly persuaded. We enjoyed a bite to eat. Jacob had mini waffles with Nutella. While, I indulged in a bagel with peanut butter and strawberries. It was all delicious.

We went to the Big Bend Museum before heading to the park. I wish, the pictures I took were better. It was just to hazy out. But, I was surprised with the scenery. Come to find out Texas is not totally flat. Ha, ha.

We arrived at the park, stopped at the visitor center and then headed to camp. Once setup and settled some I made us some lunch. We are just adaptable to our little Shack.

Afterwards, we decided to walk the boys and stretch our legs as well. We saw a coyote, a bobcat and donkeys. Now, I could expect to see a coyote and bobcat. But donkeys in a campground that was a first. They were just enjoying a snack and water.

The sun quickly went down, the temperatures dropped and the wind continues to blow. So, we decided to relax in The Shack. It was time for our evening coffee and Spekulaas (Dutch cookie). Perfect way to end our day.
