Day 72:

Sometimes people ask for prayer. I do believe in the power of it. So, I am asking if you are a praying person. Please, say a silent little one for my family. If not, please send well wishes and good vibes. I will not go into details on here. Some of you know!

As we left the hot spring area this morning it was super cold. I’m always appreciative to Jacob for taking care outside preparations as I do the inside. Prior to leaving, I wanted to snap one more picture of the hot springs. I think 🤔 , it looks like a painting!

Driving down a gravel washboard road for several miles is so annoying. But, we made it through it. We enjoyed seeing more glimpses of the yellow fall colors peeking 🫣 out. The scenery changed from mountains with sage bushes to interstate 🛣️ roads with 18 wheelers everywhere. It seemed like it took FOREVER to get out of California.

We were on the state line at Needles,California. We stopped to get some gas ⛽️ but it was $5.92. Jacob was tired of paying 💰the high California prices. We literally went 1.8 miles across the Colorado River into Arizona and it was $2.89. Wow 😮!

We planned another boondocking spot. But, Jacob was getting tired of driving. So, we searched 🔍 for motel. This place La Trovatore is well… it’s interesting! It’s in the old downtown Route 66 area. After, checking in, we took the recommended from the front desk man for dinner. We walked to Dambar Steakhouse. It was good and we had fun playing pinball. Oh, remember the $20 I found! Well, I donated it to the local cancer fundraiser the restaurant was collecting money for. I figured it was good to give it to the cause. The waitress told me to hang it anywhere I wanted. So, I chose the bear 🐻!

We walked back to the motel. Got settled back in… and will be sleeping 💤 under the watchful eyes 👀 of Clint Eastwood! Tomorrow, we hit the road again!
