Day 69:

We woke up this chilly morning looking out to see if we had any surprise visitors! But, we were alone! Ahhhh, morning silence 🤫!
Eventually, it was time to head out. But, we would take the longest road in the park, Tioga road. Therefore, it would allow us to sightsee along the way. So with my mark left we headed out once again.

The terrain varied from tall pines to rocky with sage brush. We stopped at Tenaya Lake. The water was super cold but so clear! It was beautiful!
We came across a small town called June Lake. Jacob researched and there was supposed to be an oil changing station there. But, it wasn’t! So, to make things better we got some nachos! We sure are not doing well on this low carb thing lately. But hey it has meat and cheese… so that’s low carb. Ha ha.
After, that I asked Jacob if he knew where our next camp spot would be. He said he had some places picked out. But, boy was I surprised! He reserved a cabin for us at Tamarack Lodge! The boys quickly settled in… as if they owned the place!

Now, this may sound crazy to some. But, I’ve never stayed in cabin before! I love how I continue to experience new things with this man! He never ceases to amaze me! Even with some of his crazy ideas or ways!
We went to town after a bit! Stopping at bakery… yep there goes the low carbs again! There were cakes 🧁 🍰 , cookies 🍪 , fresh bread 🍞🥖 several other desserts 🍮 and pastries 🥮! . We found some of Jacob’s favorite Dutch sprinkles! Those were a must buy! They had several Dutch items. We probably went overboard with all our purchases! But it’s ok! We had dinner! Then, went on a date! A date to the laundromat!

We came back to the cabin and enjoyed a pastry we bought. It reminded us of some of our favorite pastries in the Netherlands 🇳🇱! A nice reminder of our other home!
