Day 64:
Momma said there will be days like this… there be days like this momma said momma said! Rainy days! Well, she really didn’t say that but…I couldn’t help it. That song 🎵 lyric was in my head.
The day started out with beautiful sunshine ☀️. We said goodbye to Kevin and Julianne, the couple from yesterday!
Initially, we planned to go into Yosemite National Park today! But, really I just wanted a chill relax day. Boy, did we both end up getting it.
The weather was going to turn rainy🌧️. So, we took the boys for a nice long walk. As, we walked I found this huge pinecone. I’ve never seen one so big. We also reminisced about our late friend Bill. Everytime, we see moss or a growth on rocks, we say “ Here is Bills ecosystem!” It just a long story. Rounding the corner, we came upon a big lodge. It was nice. We walked around it for a bit before heading back.
The clouds ☁️ 🌧️ were moving in and rain would be arriving soon. Not long, after coming back the sprinkles started. We proceeded to go in the shack. The boys were worn out from their walk.
It’s rainy days that make ya want to snuggle up with a blanket, watch tv and eat all kinds of tasty things. That exact what we did. We like to download various YouTubes to watch. I educated Jacob on Pepe Le Pew.
Soon, the weather made us sleepy 🥱.We took a long nap. But, the rain 🌧️ storm came in! We have not had rain like this the whole time we’ve been traveling 🧭. But, we woke up to blue skies in the distance.
The sun goes down quickly here. So, Jacob made us a quick dinner. Afterwards, I made my mom’s chicken salad recipe. We plan on going to the park tomorrow. It will make for nice lunch 🥙. Though, I’m sure it’s missing my mom’s special touch. Moms just make food taste better!
The night has set and it’s chilly out. We are cozying up with some coffee. But, it’s still early 8:25pm. So, we will see what the remainder of the night brings.
