Day 63:

You never know where life will take a person! I don’t mean just travel wise. But, also health wise. Keep reading 📖!
It was a good idea that we stayed at the hotel last night. Jacob had two work meetings this morning. While, he did that. I went to the thrift store next door to the hotel.

There was a little childhood treasure I saw yesterday!. Once, I researched it some. It is worth more than the $4 they were selling it for. Plus, once I told my mom 👩🏻 Marie. She wanted it. So then, I knew I had to get it. It is a sugar container with Pepe Le Pew! He was a popular cartoon character when I was little. Did you ever watch him? Or do you remember him? If not google a video or watch on YouTube.
Eventually, we headed towards Yosemite National Park. The road we took had some beautiful views. But, it was a crazy & winding road. Poor TJ (the Bronco) got a workout today. But, handled it like a champ. Jaxon is not fond of windy or washboard roads. He always wants in my lap.

Arriving at the site, Jacob researched last night. We parked and took a brief walk to look at other sites close by. But, this one was the best for the solar. Plus, the others were taken.

It feels so good to be back in the forest. Just not the flies 🪰. There again are several burnt trees around. It’s still nice.
We had not ate anything prior to leaving the hotel. So, I made us some lunch. Afterwards, we decided to come in and relaxed for a while.
There were several ppl that would pass by our site. Some slowing down to see if anyone was here. We are not selfish ppl. We will share our site with anyone. Though, we have a few joking stipulations we say. Not to other ppl just to each other.
Finally, there was one RV that stopped. They slightly pulled in and the man asked if they could stay in the same area. Of, course we said yes! That’s where things got interesting.
So, my opening statement above mentioned “you never where life will take you health wise” right? We had a nice conversation with the couple. The wife has alzheimer’s. She was diagnosed 2 yrs ago at the age of 57. So, young! They decided over 6 mths ago then they wanted travel. They have travel all over Europe. Now, in the states for 6 wks so far. She is doing well. She is very aware of her condition. It doesn’t make the situation any easier.
It just hits home for us a bit. For reasons, I will not discuss on here. But, we have very familiar understandings with dementia. So, count your blessings tonight and always.
