Day 62:
You never know whose path you will cross. Who will need a helping hand. Who will need someone to pray with or for them. Who will just need a simple kind conversation. Or how a smile 😀 may just make someone’s day.
Last night this couple was camping beside us. But, the moved due to another belligerent camper. I took the boys for a walk and noticed where they moved too. We talked for a bit. They were on the way to Washington. Their son had a heart attack at the age of 52. But, was stable and doing ok. His 14yr old some immediatly did CPR and saved him. The son had never been trained in CPR. But, just did it by instinct. Something about them was just touching! We shared some discussion about The Lord. Marty (the man) told his wife “See Lelia there is still good ppl in this world 🌎!” I believe, there is good in many people. Some just don’t show it due to societies distrust.
The next morning (today)they came over to say goodbye. They invited us to their home in Lonepine,Cali. They also checked out TJ Shack. I will keep their son Lee in my prayers and wish the family good vibes.
We checked out The Wetlands area down from the campground. It helps with wildlife, vegetation and water conservation. It’s very vital to the area.
Next thing, we knew we were coming upon Lake Tahoe and in California! 🤨. We stopped for breakfast at a little restaurant called Heidi’s Pancake House!
We keep driving and driving and driving. But, we were among the pines 🌲and beautiful lake scenery. But, that could not keep us from getting tired.
Since, we could not seem to find BLM/boondocking land in California. We opted for a hotel. I’m not fond of staying in hotels with the doors 🚪 on the outside. Just a weird thing about me. But, at this point we didn’t have a choice. Travelodge to the rescue!
We settled in, relaxed for a while and ate dinner. The parking lot started getting full. Then, we hear some guys outside our door. I look out the window and they are cooking some food on the tailgate of their truck. It smelt delicious 🤤!!! They did offer us some. But, we jokingly told them we will wait for breakfast! Which is 5 am when he said he cooks! 😬😬😬🫣🫣 But knowing that we are in a hotel. I’ll probably be awake.
Our day was not adventurous but just being together is what matters.
