Day 55:

I’m so glad 😀 I slept better. Our plans for today were to run around Carson City. Since, it’s the capital of Nevada, we want to drive around it some.

We didn’t want rush getting ready. Plus, Jacob had some work to do. We relaxed and drank our coffee ☕️. We watched a YouTube video of Maurice on the Road, which features our good friends Nacha and Seb. They were exploring The Grand Tetons.

While watching the video, I heard something outside. I looked out and saw a man digging through the trash. He would grab beer cans and drinking anything left in them. The man would throw the beer cans in a bag. I spoke with the camp host about him. Found out his name is Tony. He is the “local can recycler”. They claim to never have had any problems with him. I could not help to wonder what his life story was about. But, he is Gods child and is loved 🥰 by him.

After, the video was over. It was time for breakfast. Jacob wanted sausage and eggs 🥚. So, I was outside cooking on our outdoor cook partner propane stove. Suddenly, propane is blowing in my face. I quickly turn the burner off and shut off the propane. I yelled out for Jacob. Come to find out the regulator blew “literally”. But sure, did startle me 😲 So, I finished breakfast inside. Jacob worked. Thank goodness we have that choice.

Once all was completed it was time to hit the town! But, it became a rat race. We went to Home Depot to look for regulator w/ or w/o the hose. What we bought didn’t work. We called the company Partner Steel. They offered to mail us the regulator. BUT, we have not where for them to send it. So, we went to Lowe’s and found a double regulator. We went to Walmart, Trader Joe’s (mainly to look around) and Petsmart ( the boys needed treats) all. for few things.

We stopped at a food truck called Yeti Grinders for lunch. They serve some tasty sandwiches. The man working there came out and admired TJ Shack. They gave us a couple of stickers. So, I can say we are “Yeti Approved”. Ha ha.

We also met an another man Ed Anhalt. He has an awesome van. We are not much into “Vanlife” but this one ! We would definitely buy it if ever available. He had a great story about it. It actually saved his life in a way. It’s nice to hear stories about ppl and their setups.

Well, after all our hop, skip and jumping around we came back to the campground. We tested out the double regulator from Lowe’s. Guess what! It does not work!

Well, at this point we have a way to cook still. So, we deal with it again tomorrow.
