Day 53:

It was again time to leave another camp spot. It seems the wind 💨 and dust follows us. The past couple of site have been that way. But, since it was calm this morning. We enjoyed our coffee ☕️ before packing up.
We had planned to possibly boondock at a “castle” not far from our current location. But first, we wanted breakfast. On moving day, we tend to eat breakfast in a local town somewhere. We were in Austin, NV population 167. We attempted to go to the only 2 places that the map claimed to be available! But, both were closed. The only places open in Austin seemed to be a souvenir store and gas ⛽️ station. Nothing like Austin, TX for sure!
So, we went to Stokes Castle (possible boondock place). It was more like a 3 story building than a castle. It had only been use for 2 months and only the bottom floor. It was still interesting to see. While there we spoke to a gentleman that was on a motorcycle 🏍️ trip. And another couple that claimed her uncle once owned the castle.

After our sightseeing adventure at the castle, deciding not to stay there. Driving along, The Loneliest Highway in America with vehicles only passing every 15 minutes. Most of the traffic we see are some sort of camper, Rv, & a suspicious 🤨 looking cadillac. There are not many homes in sight. Just dry desert mountains ⛰️! If we come upon a small community. We wonder what ppl do for work there. Everything looks closed. Our search🔍 for the somewhere to fill our stomach’s continued. Finally, stopping at a restaurant located in a campground. The ppl were nice. The food well it was fine 😏.
Let me back track just a bit! Jacob wanted to try and order his favorite mints from Amazon. So, I ordered a game (Take 5) that my friends Nacha and Seb introduced us too. But, their version is called 6 Nimmt in French! So, we did that a couple of days ago. We were able to pick it up today. Oh, hey I finished my book 📖! I have a feeling it won’t be my last time to read it.
We are now in Carson City and staying in a campground Washoe Lake State Park. We will be here for several days. There is something cool we are planning to attend next week. So, we need to prepare for it some. We really can’t do it in boondocking areas. It’s loud here so far. Especially, compared to the peaceful places we have been.

We took an evening walk to the lake. Only to get lost in the dark on the way back. But, obviously found our way. The night sky is cloudy. The moon🌙 is out and so are the stars ✨. We’ve had our evening coffee and are ready for bed. I leave you with comment from a biker gentleman at the restaurant “No matter where you are …You are somewhere!”
