Day 50:
Honestly, I am so thankful for this man. Now, I’ll try not to get to sappy. But, I literally woke looked at him and was just overwhelmed with emotions of love 💗. I’m so happy and grateful that we get to experience the things we have together. Not just this trip. But, generally in life. Ok well enough of that…I know gag me Traci!
Jacob had quite a bit of work to do before we could leave. So, I walked the boys around the campground a couple of times. There were two trees that had memorial plaques on them. One for Randy Matthew, who had an interesting nickname (look on pic). The other was for Mike Padon. I pray they are at peace.
During, my walk. I noticed something unusual; a trail camera stuck to one of the trees. I contacted “the kids” that were there before (the ones we helped) to see if it was theirs. It wasn’t! There was also a screwdriver 🪛 with the name Rick Hendrix. I did check some other trees 🌲 to see if they had cameras too. But nope. It just something, I’ve never seen at a campground.
There was a guy named Luke that went fishing 🎣. The camera was facing his stuff. But a good distance away and not even close to his camp area. The kids and I thought it might be his. So, he could watch his stuff. If so he is going to see me and hear me saying “This a some crazy 💩 right here ! “ ha ha. 🤣 And looking around to see where I was pointed.
Well after all that Jacob was eventually ready to go. We headed to Ely, NV to shower 🚿. It was so nice to get the all dust off. We enjoyed our time at the spring but it was just a windy, dusty desert area. After, we showered it was TJ Shacks and the totes turn. I seriously don’t recall ever seeing TJ Shacks so filthy. I’d almost forgotten what color TJ was. 😬
Jacob and I discussed how we have been gone so long for us. We get lost on what day it is or date it is. We will asked each other “ Is today —— day or —— day?” And in all reality we are both a few day off. Thinking 🤔 about it now it’s a nice thing to not be so scheduled.
After, TJ Shack was all cleaned up. We went to get some groceries. The cashier asked “ do you have our membership for rewards?” I replied “No, we are just traveling through”! He said “well I’ll put a code in for you to get $10 off!” I thought 💭 that was so generous of him. Heck, that $10 just almost paid for the stuff, we bought to make nachos. Obviously, our eyes were bigger than our stomach w/these nacho plates. 🍽️ They say “never go to the store hungry 😋”!!!! Too late!But, we couldn’t finish them!
Now, it’s evening coffee ☕️ time and since we didn’t play a game last night. We are tonight.
