Day 49:
I’m not sure how we handle temps in the 100s in Texas. It was 90 today and we were hot, dusty and dry! This Neveda desert is not fun. We want cooler weather. I don’t think, TJ Shack has ever been this dirty. We all need a bath! But, it was still a beautiful day!
We tried to find another area of the spring, we went to yesterday. So, we took a walk with the boys to attempt it. Jacob was looking on GAIA for back roads. But all roads led to a fenced areas.
We arrived back at camp and packed up The Shack and went back to the spring. The water was so nice. It was not hot. Yet, more like a sun warmed pool.
We had been there for about 2hrs when 4 other ppl showed up. Man, they had a full setup. They brought food, some adult beverages, a covered shelter, and idk what else. But, forgot our invitation… ha ha. Come to find out, 2 of the ppl (Teri,Peter & their dog Ryker) are our Texas neighbors from Houston. They were visiting their friends Torrie and Dave from Pioche, Nevada. Teri asked to take a picture w/ us for their travels. She was kind enough to send them to me. Jacob and I spent about another hr. Eventually, we were water logged and ready to go back to camp.

We got back and it was chore time. We needed to wash a few clothing items. Since, we are not close to a laundromat. We went to the manoteria basically we hand ✋🏼 washed some stuff, rinsed it and hung it out to dry.

I’m a big ppl watcher. I noticed the young couple we helped yesterday vehicle was still at camp. But they weren’t and neither were their friends. Naturally, I was concerned and maybe somewhat nosey. Shortly, they pulled up and I asked if they were ok. Well, the car would not start again. They went to buy a battery 🔋. Well, the problem is they didn’t not have tools 🧰. So, Jacob brought over his tool bag. They told us we are good luck because we are there to help them when no one else could. They were sweet, I called them “the kids”. Figure, I was older.
Tomorrow, we leave… but for now it’s evening coffee and maybe game time
