Day 43:
Slow mornings are perfectly acceptable. Especially, when you don’t have anywhere you have to be. That’s the beauty of camping at times. There is no rush, no time frame, no need to have to do anything. All is required is to be with nature. Enjoy the moments of togetherness or solitude. As for Jacob and I it’s moments of unity.
After a while, coffee ☕️ was the perfect wake up for this Wednesday morning. But, next thing I know I hear a motor running. Jacob has the hood of TJ up. We have been hearing another squeaking sound. So, it was time for Dr. Jacob to diagnose the problem. I always knew carrying my stethoscope 🩺 would be good. I guess, I should be glad it was needed to listen to the engine and various components. He determined it was more than the alternator. We do have another one with us. We also have another belt. Though, he did order 2 pulleys from Napa. So, once we know the order has been delivered; we will go to Panguitch, Utah.
The majority of the day was just being with each other, being with nature and being with us. We did not really want to go anywhere today. Sometimes with TJ Shack that’s just it. We are not just out for the adventures but out for the peacefulness. We are not always doing something; even though I like do stuff. I need to learn to BE STILL, BE HERE AND BE MINDFUL!
After some time, we took the boys for a walk. In earlier posts, I mentioned about trying to get Jaxon to walk beside me instead of pulling. He is doing really good. If he gets out of hand, I give the leash a slight jerk. But I’m impressed with his performance. As, we walked I got a strong scent of pine 🌲. I know, we are fenced in with Ponderosa trees. But I could not help just wanting to engulf me senses with them even more.
We got back to The Shack in time for Jacob to do some work 💻. As, I prepared to do my reading 📖. We had dinner. Now, the evening is upon us. We are enjoying a campfire 🔥while the pines glow and the stars ✨ shine.
