Day 34: Seriously, I mean just seriously. This day went from lighthearted silliness to not this again and end with ahhh ok back to “normal”! If there is a normal for us! Hold on for this ride!

As mentioned yesterday, we were leaving to go into Moab. We had a few missions to attempt and accomplish! But first, Jacob had some work to do. Heck, I don’t think his “office” view is bad at all. Ha ha! Soon after, we said goodbye and I left my usual mark.

If you have read our past few posts and not just looked at pictures. Though, they go with the blog! You might recall, I mentioned us having a squealing sound. It started shortly after leaving the mechanic shop in Blanding, Utah. Yes, maybe we should have gone back to that shop. But, after having to wait 3 days to have it fixed the first time. We didn’t want that ordeal again. ANYWAYS, we hoped the sound was just a fluke thing. But, negative 😩👎🏽! It continued once we left our camp. So, we knew we had to find another mechanic shop.

Prior to heading to Moab to find a shop, we stopped at the Newpaper Petroglyph. It is beautifully preserved though there were a few areas where ppl defaced some of it. While there, Jacob decided to grease the u joints to see if that stopped the ear-piercing noise. So though, he looks like I ran him over in the pic…I didn’t 😆!

On the way to find a shop we briefly stopped at Wilson’s Arch. It sure was cool to see. We made another pit stop at Trail Mater/ Trail Mater Off Road Recovery. Jacob watch’s the YouTube videos a lot of these guys. We spoke with Mike. He really liked our setup. Both Mike and Shawn took pics with the Shack. We picked up a few t-shirts and a sticker. We did ask advice on what shop would be good to take the camper too. Mechanics Now was suggested!

So, here we are stopping first to see if they would even look at it. Yes, they would! But did ask for us to come back in about 30 minutes. So, not wanting to be without a place to stay like last time. We went to get a hotel room reserved, LaQuinta it is! But we would have to wait till 2 pm for the room to be ready.
Arriving back at the shop. They determined it was the Carden joint. It was dry! It would take maybe an hr to fix it. Since, we have done all this so far with nothing to eat and especially NO COFFEE ☕️. We left the Shack with the shop determining it was Taco Time. So, we walked to where duh 🙄 … Taco Time. Ha ha ! Returning to the shop The Shack was ready. The noise was gone, and we had full bellies! All was almost back to “normal”.

Since, we had time to kill until able to check into the room. We had another mission to accomplish… find the boys their brand of dog food. City Market had it! So, we bought two bags. They also had our brand of coffee Cafe Bustelo. Woot woot.. things are looking up ⬆️! Lol! Don’t mind all the other stuff we got! How do we fit it all in our camper? I am a good organizer! We also found a place with free potable water 🚰 and filled up our propane.
We got to the room finally! We showered 🚿🧼! Ahhh it felt so good 😊! Then, did laundry 🧺!
Later, we walked downtown Moab. Found a place to eat at called Miguel’s Baja Grill. It was based on Baja California Mexico. It was right up our alley. Especially, since we went to Baja earlier this year.

We ate, walked the town, shopped a little bit more and admired some art. But the wind 🌬️ was too much! So, many crazy things happened today! Hey, isn’t that part of the plan? Maybe 🤔? Tomorrow, we go to Arches National Park! We are excited 😜!
