Day 28:

Oh, my goodness… guess what we did today!!! Well, a whole lot of nothing! It seems when we are at the BLM camps, we are doing something all day. Just not sightseeing!

I really don’t know what to put in this post. We had breakfast. I cooked. I feel weird cooking outside at public camps. Like people might be watching me through their window.

The neighbors have some sunflowers 🌻 by their trailer. Some guys live in that trailer. We’ve heard them leaving/returning from work several times. I snuck over to capture a photo of the sunflowers. They are one of my favorite types of flowers.

We checked on the tracking for the awning parts. It at first said “arriving 11:00am-1:45pm”. So, Jacob decided we should get the broken parts out and prepare the awning to be fixed. So, out comes the tools 🧰. But they did not come. So now tracking says tomorrow at same times. We will see!

Afterwards, I relaxed ☺️ in the shack and read. Jacob relaxed in the hammock. We could have gone to town to just see what’s there. But, with the leak and potential issues. We did want to cause more damage. We did walk over to the mechanic shop to verify our appointment.

One thing about this campground is they have a dog 🐕 washing 🧼 station. So, we took the boys and shower 🚿 them down. They look so handsome, fresh and clean. Ha ha. Also, their kennel had a broken strap. Jacob repaired it. That Dollar Tree sewing 🪡 kit has been handy. This kennel has been around for a while about 5-6 yrs. So, we have taped, sewn 🪡 and rigged parts on it. The boys like relaxing in it. It’s like their safe space. And boy will Dean defend it if another dog comes close to it. You would think he is a big aggressive dog when he defends it. Not a 15lb dachshund!

We didn’t thaw anything out for dinner 🍽️. So, we were bad. I ordered delivery from a local diner called Patio Diner. We both had Southwest Chicken Sandwiches with green chili and red enchilada sauce. It was pretty good. But all those carbs put us in a nap 😴 mode. So yeah, we napped some. I think 🤔 I slept more than Jacob. He was hot!

The rest of the evening was just like this morning… we just chilled. Tomorrow, we take the shack to be repaired. They said they will give us a vehicle to use. We cant just sit at the repair shop for hours with the dogs. So, maybe we will go to town then…

We watched some of the debate… and now are debating what to do the rest of our night. I guess it’s YouTube video time. As I hope you enjoy a video, I made of how we hang with the “big dogs” at the campground!
