Day 24:
Ahhh, 😌 what a tranquil day we had! First, in order was of course my reading 📖, coffee ☕️ and breakfast 🍳. Jacob made a hearty one. But it was delicious 😋. The camp host came by and spoke with us a few times. He’s a friendly guy!

We decided to go sit by the lake. As, we watched ppl paddle board 🏄🏻♀️, fish 🎣 and kayak 🚣♀️. We found humor in the fact fish 🐟 would jump all around the ppl fishing. Yet, we never seen them catch one. Isn’t that how it goes sometimes 😏? The Island Lake is largest lake in Grand Mesa. The lake is 9,665 feet above sea level. It’s home to sucker, rainbow trout and splake and several other types of fish 🐠.

I was also able to get a pic of a Least Chipmunk 🐿️ (smallest species of chipmunk 🐿️). While they are cute; They aggravate the boys bringing out their terrier instincts. Also, this little guy was on the move. He had places to go and things to do apparently. It’s called “wooly bears” caterpillars. Eventually, transforming into spotted tussock moth.

I helped Jacob gather some wood 🪵. So, we could have a fire 🔥 tonight. As, evening came we hid behind the camper with the boys in our laps, enjoyed the fire and our evening coffee. The boys were tired from playing and the walks we took today. Now, I am cold it’s 45 degrees out and I want to get ready for bed. So, goodnight 🌙 and look up at the stars ✨ they are enchanting!
