Day 21:
Today, was busy busy busy! We planned to leave this morning to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. It was bittersweet to leave. We really enjoyed this spot like the others.
But today is a special day for Jacob and I… ITS OUR ANNIVERSARY! We have now been together 8yrs. It’s been amazing. We just keep getting stronger!
We made some coffee ☕️ and started packing up. We had a lot to do today! It was time to grocery shop, take real showers (no sponge 🧽 baths), and laundry 🧺. I know what a way to spend our anniversary! But it’s ok.
As, we left the BLM area, I left my mark. We stopped at an overlook area. I’m surprised 😮 I actually looked. I’m scared of heights. But it was a nice view from a distance.
We got to Montrose, and it was time for business! First laundry 🧺, then showers 🚿, anniversary lunch 🥗 🍝, then groceries. We didn’t want to go grocery shopping 🛒 on empty stomachs. Thats never good 😩😳😬. We of course bought more than what we expected. But we did have a list and got less than what was on it. We try to keep our eye 👁️ out for farmers markets! And while just as we were getting gas ⛽️, I saw one. So, I grabbed a few more things.
Next it was time to find camp. We want somewhere close the Black Canyon. So, we could go visit it tomorrow. We are nestled in a “interesting” site amongst some trees 🌳 🌲.
