Day 18:
Blog Blog Blog!!! Today, was very relaxing. We decided to forgo our morning coffee for some English Breakfast Tea ☕️. It was good. Might try it with some honey 🍯 in the future. Anyways, we mainly just relaxed today. I read my book 📖 while relaxing in the hammock. Then, played with the dogs.

Being out in the mountains ⛰️ and forest 🌲area is absolutely freeing… so I did just that! What a liberating feeling… and if men can do it women should be able to also! If desired! Plus, being a breast cancer survivor it is a celebration.

I like to take pic of various plants 🌱 trees 🌲 and whatever catches my eye. So, I took these pics of Jaxon and Dean. Well, the information button identifies Dean as a German Shorthair Pointer and Jaxon as a Norfolk Terrier. They are both a mix of wirehair and smooth hair dachshund. This camera is going to give them an identity crisis. Lol

We watched a movie 🎥 “Where the red fern grows”. The movie is about two raccoons 🦝 hunting dog and a poor farm boy. But a red fern is based on an old Indian legend that symbolizes rebirth and renewal. The legend states that only an angel can plant a red fern seed near the graves of those who sanctify the land. Which plays a role in the movie. If you haven’t seen it, it’s an older movie but a good one.
After, a bit it was dinner time. Today’s menu was New York Strip with pan fried okra and avocado 🥑. Jacob cooked the steak on our portable grill with some wood 🪵 he collected from around camp. Hope it was not seasoned with any wild animal seasoning. 🐂🐿️🦥🐻 If so, it was still delicious.

We then took the boys for a walk. Jaxon thinks he is a mushing dog. He pulls me and these little ground squirrel 🐿️ running by don’t help. We didn’t get to go long because the skies were turning gray. It looked like a good storm was heading our way. We got back to camp and put stuff up we didn’t want wet. But the storm passed right by!

Jacob wants to relax in the “bedroom” while I relaxed in the “living room” of the camper. It’s sure is nice having our own space ha ha ha! 😆 But we could not resist the magical looking sky as the sun went down!

I am in the living room

Everyone is tired as I write this entry. So, I guess it’s time for me to wash up and get ready to sleep 💤 too.
