Day 13
Well, today was full of again crazy weather, fun and a nice surprise! We had plans to go to the town of Buena Vista, Co. We needed coffee ☕️ and a few other items. We had just enough coffee for this morning!
So, we packed up the camper and headed out. We decided to treat ourselves to breakfast at a place called Cool River Coffee. Where we indulged in a hefty breakfast and another cup of Jo.
Afterwards, we walked around the town, looked at shops, talked to the gentleman at the visitor center and just explored. It’s a nice little town. I found a nice consignment store. And bought some socks 🧦. All needed some more because all the ones I had were very thin and it’s cold here.
Then, it was grocery time. We really just needed eggs 🥚 and coffee ☕️. But, picked up a few other things.
Then, we returned to camp. BUT we ended up moving just up the road from our original area. Because a couple met in Baja (our last trip) was coming to visit. Their camper is called Maurice on the road, and they are Nacha and Sebastian. We have stayed in contact with them and several others we met in Baja. They were 30 mins away and head south from us. But, turned around to come hang out with us for few days. As a thank you and nice greeting. They mentioned prior to arriving, they were tired. We figured that making them dinner was the least we could do. They were extremely delighted. We visited around the campfire 🔥 and enjoyed some bread 🍞 Nacha made with brie cheese. It was delicious!
The sky was finally clear enough that we could see the stars ✨ and Milky Way. We had not seen either since arriving here. Though, we did have pea size hail after returning from town. Well, we are all going to sleep for the night.
