Day 1:
We departed Abilene at 9 a.m. My 👩🏻 mom came to bid us farewell. After driving, I contacted some friends in Amarillo to check if they were at home. As it turned out, they were at their cozy abode in Amarillo. We decided, given the heat in Texas, to book a hotel room. We will camp in the Bronco once in cooler weather! We got the boys settled into the hotel and then relaxed.
We went to visit our dear friends, who had prepared a delicious homemade dinner for us. It had been since 2019 that we last saw them, but time does not diminish the strength of this friendship. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. I even left with a few slices of homemade cinnamon and white bread. We were graced with a hint of a rainbow 🌈!
